Community Programs Director – Full-Time Salaried Position

ALC seeks a Community Programs Director to lead our community-level response to violence and related public health issues in Lake County.

This role includes community outreach and education, collaboration with community partners, victims advocacy support, and leadership of Lake County’s Violence Prevention Team.

Crisis Hotline Responder – Stipend-Based Part-Time Role

Join our team as a crisis coverage employee (CCE) and help make a positive difference right here in Lake County by responding to crisis hotline calls. Our part-time crisis coverage employees:

  • Provide emotional support and safety for those in danger
  • Develop emergency- and crisis-response skills
  • Earn extra income while serving the community
After you complete your paid training, earn $50 to $200/shift answering after-hours crisis calls and responding on-site in Lake County when needed. ALC Board Director – Volunteer Role

ALC accepts applications on a rolling basis for individuals interested in serving as a member of our volunteer Board of Directors. Board members typically serve a 3-year term, and may act as a Director at Large or as Board Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, or Treasurer.

Regardless of their role on the Board, all directors attend 10 Board meetings each year, assist the Executive Director with special projects, participate in fundraising and outreach efforts, and respond to Board communications throughout the year. 

We’re seeking candidates who care about violence prevention work and advocacy, and who have about 3-6 hours a month to contribute to ALC. Find more details and submit our Board Interest Form here.
