ALC's all-volunteer Board of Directors provides strategic governance and support for ALC’s Executive Director as they oversee the daily work and implementation of the agency’s mission.

Board members typically serve a 3-year term, and may act as a Director at Large or as Board Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, or Treasurer. Regardless of their role on the Board, all directors attend 10 Board meetings each year, assist the Executive Director with special projects, participate in fundraising and outreach efforts, and respond to Board communications throughout the year.
